τὰ μὲν οὖν εἴδη τὸ νοητικὸν ἐν τοῖς φαντάσμασι νοεῖ
Forms are grasped by mind in images (p. 699-700) 
The thinking capacity of the soul, therefore, thinks the forms in images, and just as in those [cases which involve perception] it determines what is to bepursued and avoided, also [in the cases] excluding perception, when it attendsto images, it is moved; for instance, perceiving a beacon because it is fire, by the common [sense?] grasps, seeing it move, that it is the alarm signal; andsometimes [one] calculates by means of images or thoughts in the soul, asif seeing, and deliberates what is going to happen with reference to what ishappening; and when [the thinking capacity of the soul] pronounces [what isto be pursued and avoided], just as there [viz. in the cases when the perceptualcapacity of the soul pronounces] the pleasant or unpleasant, also here [in thecases when the thinking capacity determines what is to be pursued and avoided,it] avoids or pursues, and so in action generally. Let us now summarize our results about soul, and repeat that the soul is in a way all existing things; for existing things are either sensible or thinkable, and knowledge is in a way what is knowable, and sensation is in a way what is sensible: in what way we must inquire.
